excess-iron-in-blood-and-arteries_64Excess of everything is bad this adage seems to be sitting well with iron level in our blood too. Researchers carved out this conclusion after tracking about 1,277 men and women aged 43 to 87 who had peripheral arterial disease, over a period of six years.

In the study, blood was drawn to promote iron reduction at six-monthly intervals from some of the patients, but not from others. When the researchers analyzed the results for patients aged 43 to 61, they found fewer deaths from all causes in the iron-reduction group, and fewer heart attacks and strokes.

Uncovering this finding more precisely researchers said that excess iron in the blood may damage arteries and giving blood at six-monthly intervals to promote iron reduction may boost your health if you are young.

Promulgation of this fact is really important because usually people are found taking iron supplements irrationally to overcome its deficiency. I think it would be much better if they take such supplements after having counsel from health experts. Moreover, health experts should also warn their customers about the bad implications that come flocking with irrational use of iron supplements.
